The Müllner winery was founded in 1860 by Michael Müllner, the great-grandfather of the current owner. What was then a small one-hectare estate became a business with currently six employees who manage 67 vineyards on a total of 72 hectares of vines. The various wines are now exported all over the world - according to the winemaker, we are ideally prepared for new markets such as China, Japan and Canada. INTERSPAR has been supplied with the two large vineyard wines LÖSS - Grüner Veltliner and SCHÜTZENTAL - Blauer Zweigelt since 2012, a partnership that is an interesting challenge for the company and contributes significantly to image formation and positioning. Johann Müllner only uses raw materials from his own vineyards in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Krems for his wines. The fine wines from the Danube region are characterized by freshness, spice, finesse and complexity - the grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected through several harvest selections. The vinification of the natural wines is carried out with the greatest care.
Spritzer is second only to beer on the chart of Austria’s favourite beverages, but until now it has not been available in such a portable, convenient and sustainable format. Weingut Johann Müllner has chosen Ardagh Group’s 250ml aluminium wine can to extend its packaging formats beyond the bottle and thereby bring the spritzer to new markets. In a can, Kiss Me will particularly appeal to discerning consumers who appreciate the importance of tradition and quality in their wine, but are looking for a light, convenient single-serve beverage they can drink on the go.
Johann Müllner represents the fourth generation of Müllners to run the company. He says, ‘Since our estate is steeped in tradition, we are extremely proud to offer the famous Austrian national drink in a can. Recognition of our premium spritzer is essential, so we’re really happy that the superior design and finish of the wine can upholds our brand, as well as helping us achieve sustainability by being fully recyclable.’

The quality of the wine is of great importance so that the Spritz is dry, sparkling and very fruity. That's why Müllner only uses high-quality and exquisite grape varietals in combination with sparkling table spring water for our Premium Spritzer. This is very fun to drink and clearly stands out from the competition (glass and plastic bottles)!

The can’s head-turning design is based on a multicoloured illustration by pop artist Oxana Prantl, sophisticated modern branding which reflects the premium product. Two of Ardagh’s range of finishes, Matte Impact and Premium Print 1.0, raise the aesthetic to the next level. The matte finish offers both visual and haptic enhancement, making Kiss Me stand out against the standard glossy can on the shelf, while Premium Print 1.0 brings crisp detailing and colour contrast to the artwork. The overall look is sharp, modern and unique.
Inside Niederösterreeich and named for the river Kamp that runs through it, its leading municipality is Langenlois, Austria’s largest wine town – and with 3,582 hectares under vines and numerous internationally known top estates, the Kamptal is one of the most successful winegrowing regions in the country. Culture and tourism also enjoy particular prominence here in the region. Since 2008, the name Kamptal DAC stands for Grüner Veltliner or Riesling, either in the classic-to-middleweight styles, or as a robust dry Reserve-category wine.
