The Peter Josef Drathen winery was founded in 1860 with its home in St. Aldegund, Germany and was renamed in 1927 as the Josef Drathen winery through settlement of the estate. On the death of the founder Josef Drathen in 1939, the winery was run by his widow Else, and her niece Grete Gesthüsen with her husband Hugo for the next 30 years. On July 1st, 1969, the next generation represented by Arthur Gesthüsen, Dieter Gesthüsen and Josef Zirwes took over and successfully ran the business. In 1993, a completely new and modern winemaking facility opened in the business park on Zell-Barl. Since 1996, the management of the business has been in the hands of the younger generation of the family represented by Tim Gesthüsen and Jürgen Zirwes. The Wein & Sektkellerei Josef Drathen GmbH & Co. KG can look back over 100 years of tradition in the winemaking and sparkling wine production business handed down from generation to generation. Today, the company is one of the leading winemakers and sparkling wine producers of the Mosel region.

The Turn Me Wine collection is a series of wines that are all based on live models selected from our semi-annual “Look-alike” contest where consumers submit photos over social media for a chance to be the next “Model on the Bottle!” Followed by special appearances, bottle signing, and much more!
From Piesporter Michelsberg, a village on the north bank of the Mosel wine region of Germany, comes a brand whose name was inspired by an important leader in early Christianity. St. Boniface was known as the "Apostle of the Germans" for his missionary efforts to spread the word of faith in the region during the Dark Ages.
Blaufränkisch is a grape most commonly associated with Austria, though it is grown with much success throughout Eastern Europe and parts of the United State's Pacific Northwest. The wines benefit from several years in the cellar. This is the perfect wine for those looking for a fresh and fruity red!
Inspired by the beloved Brothers Grimm tale, every sip of Sternthaler warms you from within, just like the spirit of the season. Indulge in a rich tradition, crafted to bring families and friends together for moments of joy and shared warmth.

Mosel, Germany
The Mosel River is the sinuous spine of the Mosel region, changing direction so often as it flows northeast toward the Rhine that it meanders nearly 250 km, to cover about half that distance as the crow flies. Together with its two small tributaries, the Saar and the Ruwer, the Mosel composes one wine growing region, considered the oldest in Germany. Countless finds, including several wine presses from Roman times, testify to the long history of viticulture here and the large scale of its introduction by the Romans.
