For 4 generations, the secrets of the art of winemaking have been passed on from father to son. This created a very special bond with this piece of earth and the fruits it produces. Since 1994, Reinhard Waldschütz has been in charge of the 35-hectare family winery as a trained winegrower and cellar master. His son Markus, who joined the winery after many notable apprenticeships such as Au Bon Climat, has been using his skills and experience in his parents' business since 2010. Together with his family, Reinhard Waldschütz succeeds year after year in creating natural, fruity, fresh wines with a taste typical of the region. The assortment ranges from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling to Sauvignon Blanc.
The Winery Waldschütz is situated in Strass/Elsarn im Strassertal, at the south slops of the Manhartsberg, the beginning of the wine region Kamptal. The landscape of the river Kamp is responsible for the name of the wine region. The Strass is an extremely attractive landscape at an altitude of 208 to 360 meters above sea level, and many well-known vineyards can be found here. The vineyards of Reinhard and Martina Waldschütz's winery are also located in Strass's top vineyards such as Wechselberg or Gaisberg. They form the basis for top-quality grapes, which are then carefully and gently processed into fine wines. This is evident across all grape varieties, especially Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.
Together with the family, Reinhard Waldschütz succeeds year after year, natural, fruity freshness and tastes typical of the area. The assortment ranges from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling to Sauvignon Blanc.

Kamptal, Niederösterriech, Austria
Named for the river Kamp that runs through it, its leading municipality is Langenlois, Austria’s largest wine town – and with 3,582 hectares under vines and numerous internationally known top estates, the Kamptal is one of the most successful winegrowing regions in the country. Culture and tourism also enjoy particular prominence here in the region. Since 2008, the name Kamptal DAC stands for Grüner Veltliner or Riesling, either in the classic-to-middleweight styles, or as a robust dry Reserve-category wine.
